| Purpose |
To enable Aboriginal communities to
preserve, teach and utilise traditional language and to provide
opportunities for Aboriginal students to learn Aboriginal
languages. |
| Brief description |
Aboriginal Programs Unit funds
primary, central and high schools to implement Aboriginal language
programs in consultation with local Aboriginal Elders and
Aboriginal community people.
Funding is provided for the employment of a local language speaker
and for the development and/or purchase of resources. |

Aboriginal students across NSW
schools.
